Purpose

This document outlines the processes and requirements associated with doing your new hire reporting in the state of Alaska

New Hire Reporting

Alaska law requires employers doing business in the state to report the hiring, rehiring, or return to work for each employee within 20 days of the date of hire.

You will need the following information for each new hire:

  • Employee Name

  • Employee Address

  • Employee Social Security Number

  • Employee Date of Birth

  • Employee Date of Hire/Rehire

  • Employer Name

  • Employer Address

  • Employer Federal Tax ID Number

You can report new hires through the MyAlaska Portal. Once there, click New User: Register for a myAlaska Account .
