Hibou Odoo Suite: Pennsylvania State Payroll
The purpose of this documentation is to outline the use case and processes associated with Hibou's Pennsylvania State Payroll module for Odoo. The Pennsylvania State Payroll module includes contribution registers and calculations for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.
First thing's first, we need to install the module! Navigate to the Apps application and search 'USA - Pennsylvania - Payroll'. When ready, hit Install.
Good to Know!
The Pennsylvania State Payroll module requires requires Hibou's US Payroll module and Odoo's Payroll application. However, if you do not already have these installed, Odoo will install them for you during this module's installation!
To get started, navigate to the Employees application.
Configuring an Employee Contract
After selecting USA Pennsylvania Employee for the Salary Structure, click on the US State Filing tab.
The only field here is for Additional Withholding. This is because Pennsylvania has a flat tax rate for all residents.
It is also important to enter W4 information in the US Federal Filing tab section, which is provided by Hibou's US Payroll module.
Ensure that the status of the contract is Running. A contract that is not Running cannot be used during payroll. To change this, simply click 'Running' in the status bar on the contract.
This module includes contribution registers and partners for:
Pennsylvania Department of Revenue - Unemployment Insurance
Pennsylvania Department of Revenue - State Income Tax
Additionally, it adds contract level Pennsylvania Unemployment Rate and Pennsylvania State Income Tax Rate as well as a company level Pennsylvania Unemployment Rate.
