If you have been following us for the last several weeks, we have been showing how Odoo can help you and your small business by demonstrating just a few key points of functionality and use for your company. While we are showing you a potential use for starting a landscaping company, Odoo has the scalability to meet the needs of any business regardless of size or shape.

When we first started to look into the topic, we showed how quickly a beautiful Website can be designed and configured to be a point of contact between you and your customers. By simply setting up a phone number and email address, we gave potential clients an easy way to reach out to us.

Next, we looked at CRM and how, once those calls and emails reached us, how Odoo can send them on to designated sales teams, as well as how easy it was to then, from the contact, send a quotation for our services.

After that, we dove into the Sales application and how you can save time using templates, set blocking messages for clients who may have difficulty remembering to pay, and how you can view what the customers see when they receive a quotation, including signing, paying, and communicating through chatter from the front end of your site.

Most recently, we looked at the Subscription app and how that allows you to set up recurring charges for products or services without manual intervention.

This week, we are looking at the Accounting application. Many businesses that use Odoo also opt in to use the accounting app simply because of it's ease of use and how everything else, sales, purchases, payroll, they all just feed data beautifully into accounting. Now obviously accounting is a lot to take in, so we're going to keep it simple and focus on a few key details that will relate to starting a small business: outstanding bills, payments, and reconciliation to your bank statement.

Get all that? If not, no problem! We offer hands-on training to teach you to use the tools that Odoo gives us. You can schedule an appointment and set up a time in order to explain your unique business needs of ask for a quick demo of Odoo's apps. Check out our free Accounting documentation which consists of dozens of docs covering configuration, explanation, and workflows of the many components to the Accounting application. If that still isn't enough, we will soon be offering an Odoo Accounting application course!

In the next step of setting up our business, we will look a quick look at the Field Service application and how it can easily be implemented into your business. Thanks for reading!
