Welcome back! We have been showing how Odoo can help you and your small business by demonstrating a few key points of functionality. While we are showing you a potential use for starting a landscaping company, Odoo is able to meet the needs of any business, regardless of size or shape.

We started looking at the topic by showing how quickly you can design a great looking website for customers to reach you. By simply setting up a phone number and email address, we gave potential clients an easy way to reach contact us.

We then looked at CRM . Once the customer calls or emails reach us, Odoo can send them on to sales teams, and how easy it is to, from the contact, send a quotation for our services

Next, we dove into the Sales application. We showed how templates can save you time by creating quotations. We set blocking messages for clients who need a reminder to pay their invoices. We even showed you how you can view what the customers see when they receive a quotation. Signing, paying, and communicating through chatter is all possible with the Sales app.

After that, we looked at the Subscription app and how that allows you to set up recurring charges for products or services without manual intervention.

Last week, we took a look at Accounting. Odoo is able to send information from other apps into accounting to keep track of outstanding vendor bills, customer invoices, and is a place to reconcile your bank statements.

This week, we are looking at the Field Service application. Field Service allows your employees to track their work on site as well as have clients sign or pay within the application, or even send quotations and create invoices while out on the job. As the owner of a company, you can also track all of these things and more from the backend of the application.

Get all that? If not, no problem! We offer hands-on training to teach you to use the tools that Odoo gives us. You can schedule an appointment and set up a time to explain your unique business needs or ask for a quick demo of Odoo's apps. We also have Field Service documentation in our ever-growing library of documentation, where we post Odoo version-specific explanations and workflows of the many components to many Odoo applications. If that still isn't enough, we also offer Courses!

This is going to conclude our look at setting up our landscaping company, Hibou Roots. If you have a suggestion for a future set of articles to cover a specific business, feel free to drop us a line on LinkedIn, Facebook, or Twitter, or comment below!
