If you have been following us for the last several weeks, we have been showing how Odoo can help you and your small business by demonstrating just a few key points of functionality and use for you and your company. While we are showing you a potential use for starting a landscaping company, Odoo has the scalability to meet the needs of any business regardless of size or shape.

In our first foray into the topic, we showed how quickly a beautiful website can be designed and configured to be a point of contact between you and your customers. By simply setting up a phone number and email address, we gave potential clients an easy way to reach out to us.

Next, we looked at CRM and how, once those calls and emails reach us, Odoo can send them on to designated sales teams, and easily create and send a quotation for our services.

In the last article, we dove into the Sales application and how you can save time using templates, and set blocking messages for clients who may have difficulty remembering to pay. We also covered how you can view what the customers see when they receive a quotation, including signing, paying, and communicating through chatter from the front end of your site.

This week, we'll look at the Odoo Subscriptions app and see how it can automate your sales for recurring services to your customers. This app allows you to create a series of products or services with just a few button clicks that your customers can easily subscribe to. For example, if we look at Hibou Roots - our small landscaping company that is just starting out - we could create a service product that would bill weekly, or monthly, for a regular mowing of a client's lawn.

We can easily create templates, arrange or add and remove different stages if they don't flow with our business, or create alerts that will notify us when there has been a change to a subscription. Say a customer is unhappy with their service and gives us a bad review, unlikely sure, but let's say that is the case. Well then we can create an alert to that fact and have it trigger an activity for us to reach out and check in with that customer. Check out Subscriptions in action to see how you could use it in your own business.

Get all that? If not, no problem! We offer hands-on training to teach you to use the tools that Odoo gives us. You can schedule an appointment and set up a time in order to explain your unique business needs of ask for a quick demo of Odoo's apps. In the very near future we will have Subscription specific documentation, but for now you can visit our library of documentation, where we post Odoo version-specific explanations and workflows of the many components to many Odoo applications. If that still isn't enough, we also offer Courses!

In the next step of setting up our business, we will look at the Field Service application and how it can be used by your employees and clients on site. Thanks for reading!
