I do not frequent reddit for Odoo information (maybe I should), but one specific reddit thread was making the homepage and I thought that I might offer some opinions and in fact some actual data.

The general consensus is of course that it is not possible in that amount of time. However, what I'll tell you as an actual expert in scoping, estimating and pipelining... that there is no-where-near enough detail in this post to be able to point the finger at the developer or the customer in this post.
What is a real Quick Start Implementation?
Instead, let me tell you that with the right expectations it is certainly possible. Not just in 25 hours, but I had a verbal sign off that the launch goals were met after only 7 business days from the kick off call.
Customizations - 7.0 hours
There were some minor computation and view/pdf customizations. There will be more in the future as these things grow! These are in-module customizations that will be easy to extend without doing things "like Odoo Studio does" (e.g. lots of views or lots of xpaths, but never just clean)
Analysis - 7.5 hours
Well as much as the story above doesn't get into, I will. We had someone inside their organization that was responsible for a lot of initial analysis and ongoing implementation assistance. We are just here to get the project launched and as long as everyone else is on the same page we are happy for it!
Accounting - 10 hours
Other than customizations, we needed calls and discussion around accounting including training. This will ultimately be an ongoing process, and lets just say that some expectations were tailored to fit the timeline.
(Thats right, as of right now, we're actually only at 24.5 hours of real billed time!)
Trust and Expectations
It's just that easy, right? Now of course, if you're seeing those numbers and going "that can't possibly be right for X", well thats the thing... every project is of course different. This project fit better into the Odoo box than average, and that is of course the reason for a modest implementation budget and timeline.
If you truly want a no-nonsense implementation, it is possible to achieve!
