Purpose
The purpose of this documentation is to outline the processes and requirements associated with unemployment insurance reporting and payments in the state of Michigan.
Unemployment Insurance Reporting & Payments
Employers are required to file Employer’s Quarterly Wage/Tax Reports listing their employees and the wages earned for each quarter. A quarterly report must be filed even if you do not have any employees and/or wages to report for the quarter.
Quarter | Months In Quarter | Due Date |
1st Quarter | January - March | April 25th |
2nd Quarter | April - June | July 25th |
3rd Quarter | July - September | October 25th |
4th Quarter | October - December | January 25th |
Quarterly Employer’s Wage/Tax Reports must be filed and payments made online through your MIWAM account.
